Daydreams Paper I worked with the theme of dreams, with my two main areas of focus being daydreams and nightmares. I was most interested in the symbolism and surrealism of dreams, and how they connected to our waking life. I originally wanted to just use photography, but decided to experiment with other mediums and found I really enjoyed the effects of fire and coffee. Upper Yarra Secondary College

Emotions Through Portraiture Analogue photography This series aims to investigate the rawness of human emotion through the medium of analogue photography. These images are all snapshots that allow a glimpse into the complex workings of the mind through through the eye of the photographer. Flame Mixed media The beauty in how the elements of earth, fire, water and air dance around each other in the natural environment really intrigue me. I have always wanted to show how elegant and chaotic all the elements can be. Festival culture is a big part of my life, and I want to be able to show the beauty of the elements in a costume that I can dance in and express myself in at a festival. Little Yarra Steiner School

The Old and the New Ceramic The theme for this work is Middle Eastern pottery. I aimed to compare the old designs with the newer ones, showing the difference between the two. The flexible medium of clay allowed me to explore this theme thoroughly. Little Yarra Steiner School

Series 1: Fine Lines Graphite pencil on Fabriano paper The two areas I explored were graphite drawings and analogue photography. I am so fascinated by the attention to detail that is needed to create such a complex and beautiful subject. Through this exploration into the body I found that analogue photography is also similar to the human; a blank negative is changed over time by not only its self but by the people surrounding it.
